Admission Public schools must admit every resident child.

Freedom of Information Act MCL. 15.231 et. seq.

 A public school must furnish a reasonable opportunity for inspection and examination of its records, and shall furnish facilities for making memoranda or abstracts from its public records during the usual business hours. A public school shall protect public records from loss, unauthorized alteration, mutilation, or destruction.

 Open Meetings Act MCL 15.263 et. seq.

All meetings of a public school shall be open to the public and shall be held in a place available to the general public. A meeting shall not be held unless public notice is given. If a public school is not complying with this act, the attorney general, prosecuting, or a person may commence a civil action to compel compliance or to enjoin further noncompliance with this act.
