Press Release - Retirement Coordinating Council Supports ALL Kids First!

The Retirement Coordinating Council, a statewide coalition of 26 state and school employee and retiree organizations, voted unanimously at its October 22nd meeting to oppose the voucher proposal endorsed by Kids First! Yes!

The RCC supports the efforts of All Kids First! because of its commitment to public education of Michigan's children. The RCC also believes that a voucher proposal would undermine the public school pension system by reducing the number of future members of that system, thus creating the potential for risk to pension benefit funding, particularly health benefits
